Trading Volume & Market Capitalization
For example, the average trading volume of Ethereum Classic during the first trimester of 2019 equated to nearly US$ 185 m per day. Over the same time frame the year before, this figure came to just under US$ 479 m. The trading volume dropped by 61.4 percent accordingly.
The average market capitalization during the first trimester of 2019 equated to nearly US$ 480 m. This figure came to over US$ 2.8 bn during the same period the year before. Market capitalization dropped down accordingly by 82.9 percent.
The average trading price in the first trimester of 2019 equated to just under US$ 4.54. This figure came to nearly US$ 30.1 during the same time frame of 2018. The price retraced accordingly by 84.9 percent.
The all-time high of Ethereum Classic in 2017
The price of the Ethereum Classic currency reached a peak in December 2017 at nearly US$ 47.8. At this trading price, the coin reached a market capitalization of over US$ 4.1 billion. This put Ethereum Classic in the ballpark of certain other digital currencies, such as Neo, Stellar and Qtum.

March 2019: an interesting date following the big cryptocurrency crash
On 1 March 2019, the price of Ethereum Classic stood at US$ 4.35 with a market capitalization of nearly US$ 466 million. A decline down to approximately 9.1 percent compared with the highest trading price described above.
Bitcoin dropped down to approximately 19.5 and Ethereum to about 9.7 percent of their all-time-high trading prices around that time.
