This symbol is furthermore used to represent Uniswap, UNI COIN and UNICORN Token.

The user known as ignatvkudrin launched Universe on 9 March 2017 at bitcointalk.org. The tracking of real-time trading data by coinmarketcap.com subsequently began in May 2017.
