The price of the Ethereum Classic currency reached a peak in December 2017 at nearly US$ 47.8. At this trading price, the coin reached a market capitalization of over US$ 4.1 billion. This put Ethereum Classic in the ballpark of certain other digital currencies, such as Neo, Stellar and Qtum.
Ethereum Classics all-time high compared to Bitcoin and the most renowned companies worldwide
Bitcoin, by far the largest cryptocurrency at the time, had a market capitalization of US$ 265 billion on that day. Apple Inc., one of the most highly valued brands in the world, stood at US$ 904 billion. And Volkswagen AG, the world’s largest vehicle manufacturer as of 2018, at US$ 102 billion.

On 1 March 2019, the price of Ethereum Classic stood at US$ 4.35 with a market capitalization of nearly US$ 466 million. A decline down to approximately 9.1 percent compared with the highest trading price described above.
Bitcoin dropped down to approximately 19.5 and Ethereum to about 9.7 percent of their all-time-high trading prices around that time.
