The price of the Bancor currency climbed to a high in January 2018 at nearly US$ 10.7. At this trading price, the token reached a market capitalization of nearly US$ 280 million. This put Bancor around certain other digital currencies, such as PAC Global, Civic, Red Pulse Phoenix, NULS and Aave, among others.

Bitcoin, by far the largest cryptocurrency at the time, had a market capitalization of US$ 251 billion on that day. Apple Inc., one of the most highly valued brands in the world, stood at US$ 887 billion. And Volkswagen AG, the world’s largest vehicle manufacturer as of 2018, at US$ 106 billion.

March 2019: an interesting date following the big cryptocurrency crash
On 1 March 2019, the price of Bancor stood at over US$ 0.53 with a market capitalization of over US$ 32.4 million. Compared with the peak trading price stated above, this represents a decline down to approximately 5 percent.
Around that time, Ethereum dropped to about 9.7 and Bitcoin to approximately 19.5 percent of their all-time-high trading prices.
