Trading Volume & Market Capitalization
For example, Stellar had an average trading volume of nearly US$ 151 m per day for the first trimester of 2019. This figure came to just above US$ 209 m during the same time frame in the previous year. The corresponding downward retracement of trading volume was 27.9 percent.
The average market capitalization during the first trimester of 2019 equated to nearly US$ 1.9 bn. This figure came to over US$ 7.6 bn during the same period the year before. Market capitalization dropped down accordingly by 75.5 percent.
Trading Price
The average trading price in the first trimester of 2019 was US$ 0.099634. This figure came to over US$ 0.45 during the same period of 2018. The corresponding downward price retracement equated to 78 percent.
The all-time high of Stellar in 2018
The price of the Stellar currency climbed to a high in January 2018 at nearly one. At this trading price, the coin reached a market capitalization of over US$ 12.9 billion. This put Stellar in the ballpark of certain other digital currencies, such as NEM, TRON, Litecoin and IOTA.
Stellars all-time high compared to Bitcoin and the most renowned companies worldwide
Bitcoin, by far the largest cryptocurrency at the time, had a market capitalization of US$ 262 billion on that day. Apple Inc., one of the most highly valued brands in the world, stood at US$ 880 billion. And Volkswagen AG, the world’s largest vehicle manufacturer as of 2018, at US$ 106 billion.

March 2019: an interesting date following the big cryptocurrency crash
On 1 March 2019, the price of Stellar stood at US$ 0.087677 with a market capitalization of over US$ 1.6 billion. A retracement down to approximately 9.3 percent in comparison with the highest trading price stated above.
Around that time, Ethereum dropped to about 9.7 and Bitcoin to approximately 19.5 percent of their all-time-high trading prices.
