Revain is a relatively large cryptocurrency. Featuring a market capitalization of over twenty million US Dollar in early January 2020, it captured about 0.0105 percent of the market for digital currencies.^{1 2} R is used as its akronym.

On 04. August 2017 Revain was announced on bitcointalk.org by the user bicork. The logging of realtime trading data by coinmarketcap.com subsequently launched in December 2017.

The Revain-Token is not a native cryptocurrency and is not created via the process of mining. Its maximum number of tokens is approximately 484 million.
